D-Link Systems, Inc. recommends retiring these products and replacing them with products that receive firmware updates.
How do I upgrade the license on my wireless switch once I have purchased the upgrade key?

Step 1 Log into the switch via the CLI.

Step 2 Power cycle the switch.

Step 3 Once the switch reboots, you will see the D-Link logo displayed. This will be followed by a prompt stating: Autoboot in 2 seconds  press RETURN or Esc. to abort and enter prom.

Step 4 Press Esc before the timer runs out.

Step 5 The Startup Menu will be displayed, press the number 7 for the License Menu.

Step 6 The License Menu will be displayed, press the number 1 to Add License.

Step 7 Type in the license, exactly as it was given to you and then press Enter.

Step 8 Your switch should now be upgraded to your new license.
