Where should I position my range extender for best results?

For best results, the range extender needs to be placed in an area where it receives good signal from the extending source (router).

If the extender is placed in an area where signal strength is poor, it will not be able to properly extend the signal.

D-Link suggests placing the extender approximately half way between the source (router) and the desired area you want to provide coverage to.

Note: The DAP-1325, DAP-1330, DAP-1620, DAP-1720, DAP-1820, and DAP-1860 have a built in Signal Strength Indicator LEDs. The more lit bars on the Signal Indicator LED, the better the wireless signal.

To improve the connection quality, the extender should be relocated closer to the home wireless router.
