Volume Reconfiguration enables administrators to change the RAID level, grow the capacity, shrink the stripe depth and even migrate the volume to different physical disk drives in the array.

Please note that when volumes are initializing or being reconfigured, volume access speed noticeably degrades, however performance returns to normal once the process is complete.
