How do I enable remote management on my DIR-619L-ES router?

To enable or disable remote administration, follow the steps below:

 

Step 1: Log in to your DIR-619L-ES - How do I log in to my router?

 

Step 2: Click Advanced at the bottom.

 

 

Step 3: Click on the Maintenance tab and then click Device Administration on the left-hand side.

 

 

Step 4: Check the Enable Graphical Authentication to add a CAPTCHA to the login (optional).

 

Step 5: Check the box next to Enable Remote Management.

 

Step 6: If you know the IP address of the device you will be connecting from, enter it next to IP Allowed to Access, or enter 0.0.0.0 to allow connection from any network.

 

Step 7: Enter the desired port in the Remote Admin Port dialogue box. The default port is 8080.

 

Step 8: Click Save Settings.

 

Once the Settings have been saved, to access your router remotely, from a web browser enter: http://<your wanip>:<port>

 

Example: http://172.16.100.56:8080

 

You can find your WAN IP by clicking on the Status tab. It will be displayed under the INTERNET section.
